Mailbox Disk Space (Quota)

Each e-mail account you have with TwinCitizen Online has an associated quota (amount of disk space) allocated for e-mails stored on our servers. Messages in your Inbox and any subfolders are included in the used quota. This includes any attachments that may be associated with an e-mail. It is the user's responsibility to manage their disk space.

Currently, TwinCitizen Online mailbox quotas are set to 30MB.

Most e-mail applications will produce a Quota Warning when your mailbox nears its capacity. Note: It is important to pay attention to a Quota Warning. If your mailbox exceeds its allotted disk space, you will be unable to receive new messages. All incoming messages will be bounced back to the sender, typically with a corresponding error message.

Outlook Express

Outlook Express does not offer the user the ability to view their mailbox quota however a Quota Warning is still generated.

Mozilla and Thunderbird

To view quota information with Mozilla or Thunderbird, follow these instructions:
  1. Highlight your Inbox
  2. Select the "Edit" menu item and then "Folder Properties..." This will open up a separate "Properties" window.
  3. Click on the "Quota" tab. Usage and status information are displayed here.

Web Mail Interface

The current quota usage (both size and message count) is displayed just above the folders list on the left panel area. A warning message will be displayed upon login if the quota is above "yellow alert" (75%) or "critical" (90%) levels.
